Shops also carry private-label merchandise (including the Hamilton Beach product lines owned by The Kitchen Collection’s parent company NACCO Industries) and are primarily located in factory outlet malls nationwide. The company’s Gadgets & More store in Pennsylvania carries higher-end housewares.
The Dress Barn operates more than 1,500 stores, including about 840 combination Dress Barn/Dress Barn Woman stores and some 720 Maurice’s locations in strip malls and outlet centers nationwide, to suit the budget-conscious career woman. The retailer’s Dress Barn,
Dress Barn Woman (larger sizes), and combination stores sell in-season, moderate- to better- Quality women’s apparel and accessories at discount prices and cater to professional women in their mid 30s to mid 50s. The Dress Barn opened its doors in 1962. In 2009 the company agreed to acquire Tween Brands.
The outlet traffic comes from 2 main sources. Locals (within a nine county surrounding area) provide about 60% of the business as most of the other counties don’t have access to these stores. The I-40 traffic provides about 40% of the traffic.
